Morgan Malone, Founder, Resisting in Place

Morgan Malone is a sought-after social impact strategist, economic development practitioner, and anti-racism advocate, from community organizing to managing multi-billion dollar projects (totaling over $12B), her life’s work has had one common thread -- impact.

For more than a decade Morgan has thrived in roles across the sectors and institutions that make societies tick. Not only has she organized campaigns to further democracy and equity, she has also engaged in every tenet of economic development from labor to public service to private development, from neighborhood revitalization to job creation.

Her latest impact initiative, Resisting in Place, is a nationwide anti-racism effort showcasing the breadth and depth of Black contribution across industries and institutions. Resisting in Place reaffirms the broad network of interdisciplinary anti-racism efforts happening in all spaces. To date she has received nominations for Resistors from every region nationally in over 30 industries.

Based in Chicago, she currently serves as Director of Development and External Affairs for Farpoint Development, a commercial real estate development firm, and as a Commissioner for the Cook County Commission on Social Innovation. Morgan is a 2020 Crain’s Business Chicago 20 in their 20s recipient.
