FWD Feature: Ashley Quinto Powell

FWD Collective is excited to announce that Ashley Quinto Powell has joined the speaker roster for our Chicago Summit on September 12th 2019!

We had the pleasure of connecting with Ashley to ask a few questions!

What does diversity, equity, and professional inclusion mean to you?

Showing up for underrepresented groups, and being willing to have tough conversations.

How have you experienced and/or dealt with adversity in your professional and personal life?

My fight has not been as hard-won as some of my colleagues, but we all fight assumptions that people make about us. I try to surround myself with great people who can help me keep perspective.

What would be one piece of advice you would give to your younger self?

I spent a lot of time paying dues, getting really good at what I do. I definitely didn't know what all that hard work was for when I was in the middle of it. Now, I get to do the coolest stuff! I would tell Younger Ashley to stick with it- it's going to be AMAZING.

Name three things that you do everyday to help lead you to success.

I use a Boldly & Co planner, which keeps me on top of everything- and I have a lot going on! I network all. the. time. And I serve first. I'm always trying to provide value for someone else, before asking what's in it for me.

What is your favorite book? Or the one you'd recommend most? I'm the subject of a children's book (!) by Jennifer Javornik, "She's a Technology Sales Executive and She's My Mom". So, for obvious reasons, that's my favorite book.

What are the top three things we should know about your business or company?

My mission is to help you make more money. I'm really excited about coaching folks through negotiation- and you can book micro-coaching through my website, www.salarynegotiation.expert.

FWD Collective is a community dedicated to professional inclusion. We host summits internationally featuring women, P.O.C., and under-represented communities.
